Boss Blender A “Cracker” Says Top Chef

Leading Brit Chef Heston Blumenthal, who is also an appliance geek, reckons the new Breville Boss blender is a cracker not just for its looks but also for the quality of its motor blades and the way it delivers “great” food preparation.

Described
as a sleek, high-velocity super blender, this $999 device is tipped to head
straight to the top of the charts in the food appliances that cooks “must
own”.

 

Blumenthal,
who is now involved in the product development and design of  products for Breville, is currently relocating
his popular Fat Duck restaurant to
Melbourne. He said he was amazed by “the creativity” capable with the new
Boss blender.

 

The Boss is
Breville’s most powerful blender to date with a 2200 watt motor. It can make
everything from green smoothies, hot soups and sorbets to non-dairy milks, nut
butters, and flours – without the need for an additional dry grains attachment.

 

Other
features include the unique ProKinetix blade and bowl system that pulverizes
food into 50 per cent smaller particles than traditional blenders; a pause/play
feature for the temporary removal of the jug from the base; a 2.0 litre
BPA-free Tritan jug which is impact resistant, shatter-proof and
dishwasher-safe; a timer with count up and count down functions; and an
auto-clean function.

 

Presets
include smoothie, green smoothie, frozen dessert, soup and pulse/ice crush.
There are 12 speed manual control settings, and a mill setting for ingredients
such as flours, non-dairy milks and whipped cream.

 

All you have to do is pop into JB Hi Fi to get your
hands on this device which makes for a great present for mum or dads who like
to cook – and it’s okay for singles who want to impress a partner.
