Changhong, which by the way means ‘Long Rainbow’, has priced its Full HD TVs below rival Chinese brand Hisense, and are now one of the most affordable Smart TV’s on the market.
Like the new 65″, announced yesterday, these new Android Smart TVs boasts Changhong’s UC Pro Engine video processor engine’s which has tuning tools to reflect changes in dark and bright scenes. They are on sale now at Bing Lee, Leading Edge, and Betta to name but a few.
The 1080p (1920×1080) Smart TVs have WiFi inbuilt, Google browser, apps, a slim ultra narrow bezel and a 100Hz Enhanced Motion Rate for less blur when watching movies or sports.

Changhong’s LEDC5000 series also boasts multiple ports: four HDMI ports, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connections, VGA connector, USB recording and
Smart ECO Plus energy-saving technology that promises increased panel life.
Building the Changhong product range is well underway, says Changhong GM sales marketing David Esler. More new electronics are to be rolled out in the near future.
Although these Smart TVs are undoubtedly cheap, the quality compared to big names like Samsung, LG or Panasonic, is still questionable.
Chinese TV brands are popular in their own country but not overseas, and the challenge facing them is to boost quality if they wish to increase global market share – not just rely on lower pricing, say analysts IHS.
RRP prices are $649 for the LED42 model, LED50 is $899 and LED55 is $1199.
