D-Link To Reveal Z Wave, Wi Fi Hub at CES 2015

D-Link is set to reveal a new home hub at CES 2015 that allows Z Wave and Wi Fi connected devices to co-exist on a network.

Known as the DCH-G020 the new connected home hub allows users to control both Z-Wave (low-power RF) devices in addition to Wi-Fi devices.

The move to supporting Z Wave comes as several vendors get set to launch Z Wave based devices at CES such as third-party alarms, detectors and cameras as well as D-Link Wi-Fi cameras and accessories.

D-Link is also tipped to release new Z-Wave sensors allowing the new hub to operate and function with both Wi-Fi and Z-Wave devices.

Users will be able to access the hub using a tablet or smartphone adding devices manually or through the scanning of QR codes.

By implementing scheduling and notification options via a separate device users will be able to control attached devices from anywhere in a home.
