Design Updates For Struggling Windows 8 Coming Soon

Microsoft is set to make changes to their struggling Windows 8 OS.

According to a leaked document of what is claimed to be Windows Blue has appeared on file sharing sites, ahead of the updates public preview. Among the changes scheduled multi-tasking has been improved for apps, including the option to run two with a split in the middle of the screen.

Users will also be given a choice of smaller and larger Live Tiles for the Start screen.

The downloadable ISO file, weighing in at 2.63GB, is said to have come from a Microsoft partner based in France, and shows a number of adjustments to the operating system.

More accent colours, deeper SkyDrive integration, and updates to the side Charms are also making an appearance. Internet Explorer is also usable in the leaked copy, but it isn’t clear what improvements have been made to the browser.

Windows Blue is expected to become available as a public preview in the next few months, with a view to a release towards the end of this year.
