An F-mount adapter will allow users of DSLR cameras who have collected standard Nikon lenses over the years use them in conjunction with the new CX-format camera.

In addition to allowing users to use their existing lenses, or buy new F-mount compatible lenses, will also let AF-S lenses employ the 1-series cameras’ highly regarded autofocus system. The only technical drawback is that the lenses will be restricted to the 2.7x crop factor of the CX-format – this puts it in a new category slightly below the Micro Four Thirds format.
