Former Miele sales director David Woollcott has been appointed CEO of Winning Appliances, replacing David Crane.Woollcott, who is set to take on the role from July 1, will have a four-week transition with Crane, who will finish up with Winning Appliances at the end of July.
Woollcott brings a range of experience to the role, having worked as a sales, marketing and distribution executive across the automotive and consumer goods industries in the UK, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.
Having most recently worked for Miele, Woollcott also spent over a decade working in the Australian market for BMW.
“With a thorough understanding of the appliance industry and extensive experience working with premium lifestyle brands, David brings a wealth of knowledge to the team,” Winning Group CEO John Winning stated of the appointment.
“He will be a great asset for our business and I look forward to working with him to lead Winning Appliances to further success and to achieve our mission to provide the best shopping experience in the world.”
Woollcott noted he had worked with Winning Appliances in his former position.
“Having worked closely with Winning Appliances in my previous role, I know John Winning and the rest of the team very well, and am proud to join such a longstanding business that is well respected within the industry,” he commented.
“I look forward to getting to know the broader team and building on the brand’s strong hold in the premium appliance market.”
