Foxtel has announced that its UKTV Channel has signed a deal with Michael Parkinson and Shane Warne to an exclusive one-on-one interview.
UKTV Chief Executive Tony Iffland said: “signing Michael Parkinson to interview Shane Warne exclusively and for the first time is a major coup for UKTV and an enormous endorsement of both the channel and Foxtel.
Airing at the conclusion of the Ashes series, the interview “will have no boundaries and will cover Warne’s stellar career on the cricket field, as well as his personal mishaps and controversies on and off the field,” Foxtel says.
Michael Parkinson said: “It will be a real pleasure to interview Shane Warne. He is a man who evokes different emotions from people depending on the subject in question. He is in my view the greatest bowler of them all, certainly in my lifetime.
And Warney is looking forward to the interview too stating: “I respect Michael, he is passionate about cricket and I have only the highest regard for him as a journalist and interviewer. I am looking forward to our chat”.
Parkinson: The Shane Warne Interview will be recorded before a live studio audience and will air in early January, 2007on UKTV, Foxtel.
