Fujifilm Releases Budget Camera Range

The Fujifilm FinePix J10 and J50 are designed for consumers seeking an affordable digital camera option.

The key differences between the FinePix J10 and FinePix J50 are the optical and digital zoom size, LCD screen size, ISO sensitivity and screen modes.


The FinePix J50 features a 5x optical zoom, 6.9x digital zoom, 8.2 megapixel CCD and is 23 mm wide.


The FinePix J10 features high sensitivity up to ISO1600 at full resolution, yielding high performance with less noise and a sensitivity of up to ISO800 at full resolution is also available on the FinePix J50.

 

 

The LCD screen size varies slightly on the J Series camera range. The FinePix J10 has a 2.5-inch LCD with 153,000 pixels, while the FinePix J50 has a larger 2.7-inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixel resolution.


Both cameras also have the ability to capture QVGA quality movie clips at 30 frames per second with sound.


Both models also accommodate FUJIFILM’s traditional xD-Picture Cards along with Secure Digital and SD-High Capacity cards in their xD/SD/SD-HC compatible media slot.


Accessories include a rechargeable Li-ion battery; Battery charger; Hand Strap; USB and A/V cables; CD-Rom; FinePix Viewer-S / FinePix viewer and an owner’s manual.


The FinePix J10 has a recommended retail price of $199 (including GST) and the FinePix J50 has a recommended retail price of $249 (including GST).
