Fujitsu announced that users who purchase selected notebooks running on Windows Vista can obtain a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out on October 22.

To be eligible for the upgrade option program, the notebook purchase must be made between the periods of June 29, 2009 to January 31, 2010 with qualifying Windows Vista software already pre-installed.
For eligible PCs (LifeBook A1120, A6220, A6230, P1630, P8020, S6520, S6420, S6421, T2020, T1010, T5010, U2020, U2010 and Fujitsu L1010) without an accompanied Windows 7 upgrade coupon, the Proof of Purchase (POP) will have to be provided to complete the online registration.
While the software is free, users would still have to pay $28.99 in order to cover materials, shipping and handling charges within Australia. Only credit card payments (Visa/MasterCard) are accepted, with the upgrade software and the redemption coupon being non-transferable.
Besides the upgrade fee, the customer may be required to pay local custom/duty charges and taxes at local Post Office.
