Google Sees The Future & People Have A Third Eye

Google has seen the future and the information-omniscient company believes augmented reality glasses play a role in it.Looking for invaluable public input, the company unveiled designs for augmented reality glasses which will manage emails, video chat, Google searches and GPS direction before the eye of the person wearing it.

Their design deviates from current glasses by covering a single eye. However, they’re not like a monocle, relying on the traditional frame to hold a small glass pane at the very top of the right eye, requiring users to look up if they want to glean information. This information is then managed via voice commands.

Google has published images and a YouTube video that suggest what the glasses would look like and how they would work.

The glasses will feed relevant real-time information

Google navigation will be an added perk

Weirdly, this kind of video calling could feel a little more natural

“We think technology should work for you – to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t,” said Google.

“We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.”

The futuristic frames are part of an in-development Google project called “Project Glass”, yet another legacy from its Google X labs which aims to make seemingly impossible ideas a reality.
