Hisense Believe They Can Lead The Way With Google Certified Smart TVs

Hisense claims that they are poised to redefine the Smart TV with their new K390 VISION Series TVs that senior executives claim are clearly and smarter than their “doddering rivals”, due to the Android platform and Google software integration in their hardware.

”Hisense Vision TV isn’t hard to understand or use, and that’s its universal appeal to Smart TV buyers,” said Hisense Head of Marketing, Andre Iannuzzi.

”If consumers get anxious about the feature, they soon latch on when it’s explained that our TVs with Google Certified Android are just an extension of the way they use their smartphones and tablets.”

Time spent at Hisense’s airy headquarters located at Knox, an outer eastern suburb of Melbourne proved Iannuzzi had got it right.

The new edge-lit, LED/LCD TVs are available in screen sizes of 40, 50, 55 and 65-inches (see below). Prices of $799 to $2199 are bang on target for their category and savvy consumers who audition the new models will intuit they’re not just good, but great buying.

The new models are sleekly styled, have a commendable level of fit and finish, a pleasing picture quality and they’re loaded with the deal-clincher-Hisense VISION TV Google Certified Smart TV.

Navigating the Hisense K390 Smart TV’s wireless, online connectivity options was easy, enjoyable and above all, addictive.

Conversely, the K390 also confirmed why most consumers who buy a rival’s brand’s Smart TV find the feature so daunting, they choose not to use it.

This doesn’t stop hard-working sales people, who genuinely find it a challenge to stream video, buy apps, games, movies and albums from the huge array of Smart TV models they demonstrate every day.

The average consumer new to Smart TVs might wonder what all the fuss is about. TVs they’ll argue are all about fit and finish, picture quality, screen size and above all, how these desirables relate to price.

Truth is these days TVs are communication hubs which determine how we access, playback, retrieve, order and store a huge range of content in our living rooms, bedrooms, dens and studies wirelessly, using the net.

Family digital pictures and movies, albums and tracks, movies, games, recipes, EBay, general web browsing, Facebook and twitter are increasingly likely to be beamed and screened by our Smart TVs.

Hisense intelligently decided on embedding the ubiquitous Google Certified Android platform into the hardware of its Hisense Vision equipped TVs.

It’s a winning move with the potential to propel Hisense from top challenger to major TV player status, very quickly.

That’s because the Hisense Vision TVs are so easy to use. Creating a free Google account or multiple accounts straight from a Vision TV takes minutes.

That done you can log into your account within seconds and begin to access your bookmarks, via your Chrome Browser. You might even want to head for the Google Playstore and buy or rent movies, TV shows and music.

Navigating the Hisense VISION interface really is a joy thanks to the beautifully designed for purpose air-mouse remote which you simply point at the screen and move the cursor. The air-mouse replicates touch screen navigation and is as precise and responsive.

Or you can employ a Google Voice search that also works flawlessly.

So how will consumers experience the K390 TVs? As an extension of their Android smartphone and tablet products Iannuzzi described.

Turning on any of the K390 sets brings up a launcher tailored by Hisense designers and which displays date, Wi-Fi status and time. All fairly basic Android features.

In the middle of the screen are tabs for categories such as life, home, media and social TV. Apps you’ve stored on the TV are filed in an application drawer down below.

Iannuzzi did point out that Play Store appears onscreen just as it does on mobiles and tablets. But the app has been enhanced for viewing on the Hisense VISION TVs.

Accessing photos, video and music is via the home screen’s home button. One press and you can get content from a USB or the cloud.

Web browsing via Chrome is just like using a smartphone or tablet with the bonus of the air-mouse and the large screens making it a more immersive experience.

A TV needs real processing grunt to access what you want, when you want it, quickly and smoothly. The K390 TVs, which have 1080p resolution, are each fitted with a Dual Core CPU and a Quad Core Graphics Processing Unit.

The Hisense VISION TVs have a bundle of other features including Miracast, Dual Wi-Fi, built-in Personal Video recorder, Online System upgrading, and they’re DLNA compliant.

As we said, Australia’s first Google Certified Android Smart TVs are winners and moreover they’re category leaders.
