Buying a new smartphone is meant to be a joyous occasion, but it can be soured by the need to transfer your info from one ecosystem to another.
One of the reasons iPhone users stick with Apple products is because it is so easy to perpetuate your contacts, music and photos from one iPhone to the next. But if a new phone comes out that catches your eye, breaking out of Apple’s ecosystem and taking your data with you can be an uphill battle.
Following the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S3, many users are asking themselves if there is an easier way to move their Apple data over to Samsung. Samsung is only too happy to help, endorsing an application that will transfer your music, videos, podcasts, pictures, contacts and text messages from your iPhone to your Galaxy S3.
According to Electronista, It’ll also allow you to continue using iTunes to manage your data.
The app is called Easy Phone Sync and works in two parts: one part runs on your Samsung Galaxy S3 while the other runs on your PC or Mac.
It’s characterised by an easy to use interface that walks you through one step at a time, streamlining the shift from iOS to Android and takes roughly five minutes.

It’s available for free from Google’s Play store. So far the app has been downloaded over a million times, and has a 4 star rating based on 4,202 users.
