HTC take One to the maxBilled as one of the best smartphones of 2013, HTC has super-sized the ‘One’ to a 5.9″ phablet – over one inch larger than the original HTC One.

The HTC One Max features a 5.9″ full HD 1080p display, quadcore 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, BoomSound dual front speakers, and BlinkFeed. The Taiwanese maker is holding a mystery media event in Sydney tonight, where it is likely the Android phablet will be revealed.
It also has new Fingerprint Scan like iPhone 5s, located on the back which unlocks the screen and launches apps – you can assign an individual finger to each. The 16GB onboard memory can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot, in addition to 65GB of Google Drive storage (free for 2 years).
HTC Zoe UltraPixel camera technology lets you do clever stuff like Video Highlights and has a 2.1MP front-facing camera.
The One Max runs the new Sense 5.5.
HTC One Max will hit Telstra stores from Tuesday 26 November or pre-order online. Telstra are also throwing in the Beats Pill portable speaker with pre-orders. The cheapest plan is $74 with 1GB data, $600 calls and unlimited texts or can be bought outright for $816 RRP.
