The new Magic from HTC will come in two different configurations depending on the mobile carrier chosen by a user.

The HTC Magic with Google for Vodafone will come with over-the-air firmware update, Geotagging to photos, and Picasa and YouTube function.
Three’s HTC Magic on the other hand, comes pre-installed with an MSFT Exchange Client, Document and PDF reader, as well as a ‘Smart Dialler’ application which lets you type the first few letters of any contact for quick dialling. Three users would need to install firmware updates via the PC however, as over-the-air downloads are not available for this model.
While the pre-installed applications are different, Petts said that users can simply download the ‘missing’ programs from the Android market. Currently, there are 3200 free and paid application available in the Android Market, with the paid service coming to Australia ‘soon.’
The two HTC Magic phones have the same specifications. It runs on a Qualcomm MSM7200A processor running at 528MHz, has 512MB of storage space, and sports a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch screen. It also promises up to 450 minutes of talk time and up to 660 hours standby time.
Vodafone Australia has confirmed that customers will be able to purchase the new HTC Magic mobile device from Vodafone stores around the country from Monday, June 15. Pricing and Cap Plans will be announced at a later date.
