Huawei ‘Connected Home’ Hits Bondi

Chinese giant is showing off its Connected Home at Bondi this weekend.

Huawei is offering a sneak preview of its latest ‘Connected Home’ technology at a “hands-on” experience stand in Sydney’s Westfield Bondi Junction.


Open until this Sunday, users can to try out Huawei’s Android smartphones including Ascend P2, P6  (the world’s slimmest smartphone), new in-home devices including MediaQ TV streaming device, routers, Wi-Fi repeaters, Bluetooth speakers.


Australian sports stars, including ex Sydney Roosters star Brad Fittler and Sydney Swans stars Shane Mumford, Jarrad McVeigh, Ted Richards, and Ryan O’Keefe, will be at the stand demoing the gear, and will join fans in playing Android games on two HD TV screens.







 


Details of appearance times will be updated on Huawei Devices’ Facebook page .


The tech giant is looking to drum up business in OZ, after a slew of negative publicity surrounding its links to the Chinese Government.

 “Huawei wants to broaden our Devices business in Australia to include solutions for small to medium enterprises, opening up the doors to new channel partners. This experience stand will show users the direction Huawei Devices technology is moving into,” said Huawei Australia Account Director Geison Jiao.


With its new devices; modem routers and repeaters, healthcare, and home security solutions, Huawei will seek to broaden its range of channel partners and system integrators to bring the new devices to market, it said today.
