LG is set to introduce its new Centum System front-load washing machines at IFA 2015 in Berlin this week.The Centum System suspension system is designed to enhance reliability and durability in LG’s front-load washing machines, employing a new damping system equipped with shock absorbers, similar to those found in automobiles, in favour of traditional springs to support the outer tub.
LG states the fixed-tub system helps to reduce vibration and noise levels, while, with less moving parts, there is less friction, the leading cause of wear and tear in machines.
The Centum System machines feature Wi-Fi connectivity, providing users the option of remote operation via smartphone, while NFC capability is designed to make it convenient to program different wash cycles by touching a smartphone to the machine.
LG machines also come with TurboClean tech, a highly pressurised jet spray that removes detergent from clothing during the rinse cycle.
LG’s Twin Wash machines, enabling two separate loads to be washed simultaneously, combining a full-sized front-load washing machine with a mini-washer in a hide-away pedestal, along with its Eco-Hybrid washer-dryers in a wide range of capacities, will also be on display at IFA.

LG states pricing and availability has yet to be determined for the Australian market.
