ISPs Whinge About Telstra, Again

A number of Telstra retail competitors have lodged a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, claiming they have been put in a “price squeeze” between Telstra’s wholesale and retail operations.

They include ISP Internode, whose carrier relations manager John Lindsay told ZDNet: “It’s simply not economically viable to sell retail products that are based on a wholesale input from Telstra where that cost is above the prevailing retail price.”
The complaint follows recent reductions in retail Internet charges by Telstra and its consumer operation BigPond.
