Jabra’s Halo Smart wireless headphones, designed for both taking calls and listening to music, are landing in the Australian market.First and foremost built for calls, Jabra states that the “Halo Smart uses high-quality microphones with integrated wind noise protection for enhanced in-call quality”, while also being decked out with 10 mm speakers.
There is an emphasis on being able to easily switch between calls and music. According to recent Jabra insights, 79 per cent of users would like to have one set of headphones for both calls and music, however believe the call experience on most music devices is poor.
“Jabra Halo Smart allows you to accept a call by separating the two earbuds as they rest around your neck, and use one earbud for phone calls or both for listening to music,” Jabra states.
“It also lets you access Siri or Google Now at the touch of a button and keeps you connected and informed in a number of ways. A subtle vibration in the neckband alerts you to incoming calls, whilst Android users can expect readouts of calendar notifications, emails, text messages and social media messages.”
Sporting a neckband design, designed for comfortable all-day use, Jabra states that the Halo Smart provides up to 17 hours talk time or 15 hours of music listening on the one charge.
The Jabra Assist app also allows users to track exact battery usage and receive alerts when the battery is getting low, providing notifications about when the user next needs to recharge, based on historical usage.
