LG Launches Entry-Level LG L Fino

LG Australia has added to its local smartphone line-up with another offering for the entry-level market in the form of the LG L Fino.In the words of LG, the 3G Fino is “ideal for those looking to make their first foray into smartphones, or for anyone looking to upgrade to a style-driven and well-featured Android handset”.

Sporting a 4.5″ WVGA IPS display, the dual-SIM Fino is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs Android KitKat 4.4.

It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB inbuilt storage, and is equipped with an 8 MP autofocus main camera and front VGA camera.

Decked out with LG’s Touch + Shoot feature, the Fino allows users to activate the camera and tap anywhere on the screen to take a photo, while Gesture Shot, recognising the user’s hand gesture, is designed for “selfies”.

Among other features, the Fino comes with LG’s Knock Code, allowing users to use their own personal tap sequence to secure the phone, tapping out a customised pattern on the display, while Smart Keyboard allows the user to set the size of the keyboard.

Lambro Skropidis, LG Electronics Australia general manager marketing, stated the Fino will complement LG’s smartphone range.

“We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved with our G3 flagship smartphone earlier this year,”  Skropidis commented.

“With that in mind, we’ve looked at how our premium models are complimented by extensions to our range at different price-points, which is why we’ve created the LG L Fino – it packs in many of the G3’s acclaimed features, but sits at a position in the market that appeals to the growing segments of outright handset purchasers.”

Available in titan (black front and rear) and white (black front with white rear), the Fino will be available from retailers including Harvey Norman, Allphones, Dick Smith and JB Hi-Fi, carrying a price tag of $199 RRP.
