LG Watch Urbane To Be Sold At Aussie Retailers From Next Month

The LG Watch Urbane, delivering smart technology in a classic design, is landing in the Australian market from next month.Marketed by LG as technology meeting style, the Android Wear Watch Urbane will be available initially in Australia in a silver colour finish, with LG stating pink-gold will be confirmed at a later date.

The Watch Urbane sports a 1.3″ full circle P-OLED display housed in a stainless steel body and a slim bezel, is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, and is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above.

It features a heart-rate monitor, which can measure the wearer’s heart rate and average pulse during exercise, while ambient mode conserves battery life, exhibiting the time on the display in a dimmed mode.

Among its other features, LG states that this addition of the Watch Urbane allows users to review past or

missed calls as well as look up contacts’ details without turning on their smartphones.

Complemented by a stitched leather band, users can also mix and match any 22 mm-wide band with the Watch Urbane.

“The LG Watch Urbane’s classic design and smart features make it the perfect smartwatch to complement our handsets,”  LG Electronics Australia head of PR Phillip Anderson commented.

“I see the LG Watch Urbane as an important development in our strategy to deliver high-quality wearable devices that are worn and viewed as stylish accessories, not just electronic gadgets.”

The Watch Urbane, carrying a price tag of $449 RRP, will be available from Telstra, JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman from September 1.
