Logitech has revealed a new rechargaeable portable speaker dock designed for the iPod and iPhone.

The S715i features two three-inch laser-tuned neodymium drivers, two half-inch neodymium tweeters, and four two-inch passive radiators. It also has an eight-hour rechargeable battery, comes with a wireless remote control, and includes a travel case that stores the unit, power adapter, and remote.
In addition, the speaker’s dock design works with any iPhone or iPod with a Universal Dock Connector – no trays necessary.
Logitech’s Vice President and General Manager, Audio Business Unit, Mark Schneider said, “With this system, we set out to deliver our next generation in sound quality for a speaker dock for the iPod. The new Rechargeable Speaker S715i offers eight drivers – twice that of our previous speaker docks – and includes a rechargeable battery so you can take your tunes with you.”
The Logitech Rechargeable Speaker S715i is expected to be available in Australia from late-September for a recommended retail price of $279.95.
