In addition, parents who do not have direct access to the PC can adjust program settings remotely by simply logging onto the McAfee website and accessing their personal account.
McAfee Australia’s Product Marketing Director, Allan Bell said, “Today’s children use the Internet in a wide variety of ways, and the McAfee Family Protection software helps parents better manage what their kids are doing online. Whether it’s preventing threats like cyberbullying or using time limits to make sure children aren’t spending too much time on the computer, McAfee’s software provides support to parents that can be tailored to each child’s maturity level and online activity.”
Also included in the software is a program blocking feature that prohibits peer-to-peer file sharing, time limit toggle, e-mail content management, social networking feature, and Instant Messaging function that lets parents monitor and record IM chats as needed.
The software will also provide parents with complete reports of sites visited, including banned sites, as well as recorded IM activity as well as instant alerts by e-mail. The McAfee Family Protection is available now for $59.95.
