Due To Short Supply Microsoft has banned staff from getting cheap Xboxes.
Apparently a scrooge in his company rules means that Microsoft employees shall not have access to the new Xbox 360s and will have to queue up and buy them from the store like everyone else.
There is of course a terrible famine of Xboxs throughout the land, which means that if poor Steve is going to find Tiny Tim his Xbox on time he is going to have to go shopping and queuing in the snow like the rest.
Tearful Ballmer whispered his distress to a meeting of tech executives yesterday. “The Ballmer children do not have their Xbox 360 yet. I’m in the same boat as many of you.”
He said that under financial disclosure rules, Microsoft would have to classify a free game console as income for Ballmer. We all know that juggling income is a tricky task in the Ballmer household.
And who is this Scrooge who prevents Tiny Tim Ballmer getting his Xbox360? Who shall the ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future visit on Crimbo Eve? Well none other than Steve Ballmer himself who made and enforced the policy.
It was he who also ordered the under supply of Xboxes throughout the world knowing that there would be a killer demand. Looks like the Ghost of Christmas present will have his work cut out.
