Moto OZ Android 4.4.4 Update Frenzy

Motorola has released the latest the free Android KitKat 4.4.4 update for its current range of smartphones in what is sure to set off a free update frenzy!

Motorola customers are finally seeing the fruits of having been owned by Google, even though Motorola is now owned by Lenovo, with brand new Android updates.
Those once-close ties have seen the entire current range of Motorola smartphones on sale in Australia and New Zealand get the free Android KitKat 4.4.4 update.
The update contains important security updates that most Android users will miss out on until a similar update is available, or an updated phone is purchased.
Although Motorola started rolling out the free Android 4.4.4 update for the Moto E, X, G and G with LTE in July, all current devices in the range are now ready to receive the update.

The rollout of the update will be “phased” so that users will receive notifications at different times, with the update also accessible through the settings menu.
Motorola promotes the release as reinforcing its “commitment to offering its users a pure, bloatware-free and seamless Android experience”.

The procedure for Moto users to update to Android 4.4.4 is:

1.     Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
2.     Select “About phone”
3.     Select “System updates”
4.     Select “Download”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install”
5.     After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically
Motorola offers a Customer Help page if customers need it.
