The Motorola Q smartphone which was previously available exclusively through the Vodafone network, is now also available through the Telstra Next G network.
The company said it was a recent decision to release the Q handset through other carriers, in addition to Vodafone, and will now retail through Telstra with an updated features set and model number (Q9h) and an RRP of $999.
“The MOTO Q9h is more than just a voice device and when combined with Next G mobile coverage that is 100 times larger than any other 3G network in Australia, it truly becomes a mobile office that provides unsurpassed efficiency and simplicity for our customers,” said Telstra Consumer Channels and Marketing, Executive Director, Glenice Maclellan.
We conducted a review of the Q9 earlier this year, which was available through Vodafone – you can find it here.
Based on Windows Mobile 6, the phone is HSDPA enabled and features a full QWERTY keyboard. The Q9h comes with additional features such as Windows Live for Windows Mobile and Good Mobile Messaging 5
“This multimedia device offers state-of-the art voice quality technology, messaging, speed, processing power, keyboard and display packaged within a sleek design for the modern consumer,” said Motorola Managing Director, South Pacific Andrew Volard.
