Mozilla Finds Its Voice

Mozilla, the company behind the Firefox Internet browser, has begun testing a speech recognition feature to assist searches on some Web sites. The move appears aimed at developing Firefox to be more competitive with Google’s Chrome browser.

Called Voice Fill, the talk-search system works in English via Mac, Windows or Linux operating systems on Google, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo products. Support for other Web sites will come later, Firefox says

Until now Firefox did not support voice recognition on its search engine.
