New CEO For Uniden To Focus On New Products

Uniden Australia has announced the appointment of long-time employee, Kuni Ishii, as its new CEO to oversee local operations.

Ishii has worked with Uniden globally for 18 years, including a period as the managing director for Uniden Australia.  In his new role as CEO, Ishii will work collaboratively with the existing Australian executive team, with considerable focus on new product and business development.  

“Australia is recognised as a solid performer by Uniden headquarters in Japan and I’m looking forward to contributing to the success of the business in this market,” said Ishii.  “My aim is to target new product categories to accelerate growth for the company, especially in the surveillance, two way radio and emerging wireless categories.” 

Commenting on the appointment, Uniden Australia managing director Vic Sacco said: “Ishii has very good connections within the industry and knows how to quickly bring new technologies to market.  We are fortunate to have him back with the business and look forward to introducing him to our customers over the coming weeks.”

Ishii will work closely with Sacco as well as Uniden Australia’s national sales manager, Marcello Cordeschi, key accounts consultant Tony Pischedda and national marketing communications manager, Brad Hales.
