New HTC Tablet To Be Revealed Next Month

HTC, who privately showed Australian carriers their new Tablet at the CES show In Las Vegas, is tipped to reveal the device publicly for the first time at the World Mobile congress in Barcelona in February.The new name for the device is tipped to be HTC Scribe, after the Taiwanese company lodged a patent application for a tablet computer using this name. Another name being bandied around is the HTC Flyer.

The first HTC Tablet is believed to be a 7 inch model that will run Android 2.3. This will be updated to Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) within months of being released.

The Australian launch is tipped for the second quarter with the US getting the device in March 2011.
