New Klipsch Reference Premiere Line Due Later This Year

Klipsch’s Reference Premiere 5.1 WiSA-enabled (wireless speaker and audio) home theatre speakers, which were debuted at CES 2015, are set to be available later in the year.Consisting of tower speakers (RP-440WF), monitor speakers (RP-140WM), and a centre channel speaker (RP-440WC) featuring a two-way design and utilising the same driver and horn technology as Klipsch’s Reference Premiere series, the system’s subwoofer (RP-110WSW) is also modelled directly after the new Reference Premiere RP-110SW subwoofer.

Its “brain” is its RP-HUB1 smart distribution hub, designed for the simple connection of up to four HDMI-equipped devices, digital optical, analogue and Bluetooth wireless technology, including the high-resolution aptX codec.

The hub processes multi-channel inputs, distributing them wirelessly with transmission of up to 24 bit/96 kHz, with the system also expandable over time, allowing for configurations from 2.0 all the way to 7.2 channels.

Another system demonstrated by Klipsch at CES, supporting playback of Dolby Atmos soundtracks incorporating overhead object bases audio, will also be available later in the year.

Klipsch states Dolby Atmos makes “sound come alive from all directions, including overhead, to fill the home theatre with astonishing clarity, power, detail and depth”.
