New Samsung Website To Educate Consumers

Samsung has launched two microsites that aim to educate customers on various Samsung products as well as provide useful insights into HD technologies.

Designed to help customers learn how to use Samsung products better, the new microsite, www.samsung.com.au/knowledgecentre, educates customers on the intricacies of Samsung technology and encourages them to make the most out of their products from the outset.

Samsung has also relaunched its dedicated microsite (www.samsung.com.au/hdlife) providing a one-stop-shop on HD and HD products for Australian consumers. Providing useful insights into HD technologies, HDlife aims to help educate consumers with simple facts and explanations on everything they need to know in the world of HD.

The Knowledge Centre contains a series of online “how to” videos presented by Samsung’s resident technical expert, Dr Frag. The videos are designed to help understand the technology available and provide visual help with installing, configuring and accessing some of the hidden features of Samsung products. To keep customers up to date with the latest news, Dr Frag’s blog also offers sneak previews of exciting new Samsung products as well as news about the consumer electronics industry.

Samsung Australia’s Technical Marketing Manager, John Fragiadakis (Dr. Frag) said, “Samsung recognises that sometimes a new product takes a little more time to understand and so the aim of the Samsung Knowledge Centre is to give all consumers practical advice on choosing, installing and configuring their Samsung products to reap the benefits soon after getting the product home.”

Meanwhile, the HD Life microsite explains the differences between analogue, digital and high definition, as well as resolution levels and connectivity. Importantly, it also explains how to upgrade to HDTV and what the benefits of HD really are. To help consumers choose the right HDTV for them, HDlife also provides a HDTV Selector which is a simple and easy way for consumers to choose the right size and type of HDTV. This selector is also a useful reference tool for retailers selling HD televisions.

Samsung Eletronics Australia’s Online Marketing Manager, Steve Yu said, “With a growing trend for customers to seek product information on the internet, it is essential that Samsung is committed to delivering a comprehensive and visually stimulating website to help educate Australians. HDlife will satisfy customers’ needs by enabling them to search for the answers to their HD questions, as well as which HD products are the best for their requirements.”
