Telstra has today added the Samsung C5220 and the LG KF390 to its prepaid line-up which can be used in rural and regional areas.

According to Telstra, the Samsung C5220 will join the Next G Pre-Paid range from March 24 while the LG KF390 will be available on Pre-Paid plans from 7 April.
Both handsets are exclusive to Telstra and carry the ‘Blue Tick’, which means that they can be used in rural and regional areas.
Telstra Consumer Executive Director, Ms. Jenny Young said, “The Samsung C5220 features a classic clamshell design and is available in noble black or wine red. It includes everything you need to stay entertained on the go including music player and stereo headset, fast mobile internet access, expandable memory for video, photo and music storage, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and offers video calling capability.”
Telstra Product Management Executive Director, Mr Ross Fielding said that the LG KF390 features strong coverage performance, including the capability to team the handset with an LG hands free car kit (also available from Telstra) and with a range-boosting car antenna.
In addition to a wide coverage area, the phones will also allow users to have access to BigPond TV, Mobile FOXTEL, as well as access to mobile internet content like social networking sites Facebook and MySpace.
The Samsung C5220 is priced at $199 while the LG KF390 will be sold for $249.
