It would seem logical that if one is launching a new smartphone that has an operating system that displays information in squares and oblong shaped boxes that one redesigns the phone to suite the new OS, not according to Nokia who has accused HTC of “knocking off their design” with their all new Windows Phone 8X smartphone.The new HTC Windows smartphone, which has been chosen by Microsoft over the Nokia Lumia 920 to spearhead the launch of their new Windows 8 OS for mobiles, looks very similar to the Nokia offering. This is not uncommon with technology devices. The new 55″ LG Smart TV looks almost identical to the Samsung Smart TV while the Toshiba Android 10″ tablet is similar to the Samsung Galaxy 10.1″ Tab.
According to several sources, Nokia is claiming the Taiwanese manufacturer has copied the look and feel of the recently-announced Nokia Lumia 820 handset.

Nokia “feels strongly” that the front panel and the curved sides of the Lumia 820 have been unfairly emulated by the HTC offering – unveiled just two weeks after Nokia’s Sept. 5 reveal – according to one insider.
Nokia is believed to be preparing a legal defence with the Company tipped to seek a sales ban on the HTC 8X in some countries.
The HTC 8X, HTC’s new Windows Phone 8 offering, comes with a 4.3-inch screen and is available in a range of bright colours.
The Lumia 820 also has a 4.3-inch Clear Black LCD screen and a polycarbonate body, which comes in a range of bright colours.
