Australian distributor, International Dynamics, has confirmed that it will be releasing the Olive 3HD next month for $1699.
The Olive 3HD is a simple to install server that uses a premium 24-bit DAC with 192 kHz up-sampling. It also features fan-less cooling, ultra-quiet hard drives with multi-layer cushioning, and colour touchscreen that allow users to navigate through their entire music collection, create playlists, or search for specific music titles.
According to the company, despite the lower price point, the Olive 3HD looks and feels like the 4HD. “The luxury aesthetics of this server, along with the remarkable sound quality and various advanced technical features, position the Olive 3HD at the same level of the most premium units around today, but at a more reasonable price point,” said the company.
To complement this feature, Olive currently has a free Apple iPhone/iPad application which converts their iPhone/iPad into a touchscreen remote control.
The 3HD also caters for storage of up to 1,500 CDs or 5,000 HD songs for the avid music lovers and provides instant access to Internet radio stations.
