According to reports, Huawei Technologies and Optus are combining to develop a suite of new mobile broadband products and networks.

Furthermore, the two companies are collaborating in the ‘Mobile Innovation Centre’ in Sydney, which will be ready for work by August.
The Centre’s brief will be geared to developing new products and mobile networks for Optus, and will be using mobile and wireless broadband equipment from Huawei.
Optus Networks MD Steve Christian, said the Centre will help with Australia’s ICT skills shortage.
“The Mobile Innovation Centre will also help in the continued development and training of our engineering research and development teams and help us to address the skills shortages within our industry”.
