Optus Introduces 1TB Broadband Plan

Optus has updated its fixed broadband and home phone plans and will now provide a 1TB of data for its customers.According to the company, Optus customers will have access to a one terabyte plan (1,000GB) which can be used at any time of the day or night.

The new ‘Fusion 129’ plan gives customers access to a terabyte of data and unlimited standard local and national calls to fixed lines and Australian GSM mobile calls for just $129 per month.

Customers on the ‘Fusion 99’ and ‘Fusion 109’ plans will also see a significant increase in included data and value.

‘Fusion 99’ and ‘Fusion 109’ customers will now have access to 500GB data per month (up from 15GB and 30GB respectively) as well as unlimited standard local and national calls to fixed lines and calls to Optus mobiles in Australia. Optus has also eliminated excess data charges from its updated Fusion broadband plans, shaping speeds to 256kbps after a customer reaches their data limit.

Adding to the incredible value already on offer, for the duration of December and January, Optus will also waive the connection fees on standard 24 month bundles for new customers, a saving of $79 for home phone bundles and $149 when bundled with a mobile.

 

Supersonic Broadband Cable customers who bundle with either a new home phone or new mobile when signing up to a new 24 month broadband contract will also enjoy a $79 saving on their connection fees.

Gavin Williams, Optus Consumer Marketing Director said, “Our customers are telling us that they want more all inclusive bundles and higher data options from their fixed broadband plans – and that’s what we’ve delivered.

Both new and existing customers will be blown away by the amazing value we’ve included in these new broadband bundles.”

Optus has also introduced new international call rates as part of its $109 and $129 Fusion plans. Perfect for the lead up to the holiday season, whether you’re calling home or a relative abroad, the new World Saver Rates mean you can talk to your loved ones without having to worry about a mounting bill. With calls as cheap as 2c a minute to the UK, Canada, USA, Singapore and Greece the new Fusion international call rates will be a big hit with customers in the holiday season.
