Optus, Virgin Pick Up HTC One X

The Android has landed: 4.7″ HTC One X Android has hit Optus with a bang. And Virgin.
HTC’s spanking new flagship, the 4.7-inch touchscreen HD720 Super LCD res smartphone boasts 8 MP auto focus (rear), 1.3MP front cam’s, 1080p HD Video, 32GB memory and Beats By Dr. Dre Audio for high class sound.

It also first HTC to sport a super potent quad-core processor, runs Android new 4.0 OS and also has WiFi, GPS, and bundle of connections including DLNA, MicroUSB.

The device also has a dedicated touch-sensitive button for access to new Android 4.0 (Ice Cream) capabilities.

Optus kicked off pre-orders from today for the new Super LCD smartphone, with “great value plans” including: $0 cost on $59 Cap for consumers and business. Other plans include $19 (+ $17 phone fee) 250MB data + $190 credit and also comes in $29, $49 and $79 caps, all  over 2 years.

The telco is also giving two months free access fee on all pre-orders  (business will receive three months no fees) on $59 cap, meaning you will pay nothing for first two months, which has $750 value, 2GB mobile data and unlimited national SMS and social networking in Australia.

Business users also receive unlimited voicemail access, plus free intra-fleet calls to other Optus services on the same account on the plan which Optus is flogging as its best deal.

“HTC One X lifts the smartphone game to a new level, complete with an amazing camera that is faster and better in lowlight than many high-end digital cameras,” the telco said today.

 

“The HTC One X also delivers an authentic sound experience with Beats Audio across all your multimedia, a Music Hub that centralises all your music types and a Sync Manager that wirelessly synchronises all your playlists including iTunes.”

Virgin mobile are also bouncing its deal which start at $44 ($190 call credit + 250MB), $49 ($300 + 500MB) and $59 ($700 calls + decent 3GB data) and $89 Topless deals which is basically unlimited everything with 4GB data.

The telco will sell the Android from early April.
