Panasonic Adds To Camera Line-Up At CES

Panasonic has unveiled a number of new additions to its digital camera line-up at CES 2015, from the Lumix ZS50 and ZS45 premium compact cameras, to the compact Lumix SZ10, and the rugged Lumix TS6 and TS30 tough cameras.– Lumix ZS50 and Lumix ZS45

Panasonic’s latest additions to its Lumix ZS range of premium compact cameras are the Lumix ZS50 and Lumix ZS45.

The
ZS50, which sports a 3″ LCD screen, is equipped with a 12.1 MP
high-sensitivity MOS sensor, an ultra-wide-angle 24 mm Leica DC
Vario-Elmar lens and 30x optical zoom, and features Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.

Intelligent
Zoom further extends the ZS50’s zoom ratio to 60x, while the camera’s
Venus Engine provides for 1920 x 1080 60p full-HD video recording in
AVCHD Progressive format.

The ZS50, which incorporates a 240 fps
auto-focus, also sports a 0.2″ Live View Finder, and an eye-sensor, with
1,166k-dot resolution, designed for “stable, accurate framing when
using zoom or manual focusing”.

The ZS45, meanwhile, is equipped with a 20x optical zoom lens and a 16 MP high-sensitivity MOS sensor.

Like
the ZS50, the ZS45 features a versatile lens, allowing users to capture
shots from ultra-wide-angle through to telephoto, and includes image
recording capable of 1920 x 1080 full-HD video, as well as Power O.I.S
for vibration-free shots.

“The resolution of the Lumix ZS45’s 3″
monitor has been increased to 1,040k-dot from 460k-dot for even easier
composition and navigation,” Pansonic states.

“The monitor also tilts up by 180-degrees, triggering the self-shooting mode and letting you take selfies to a whole new level.”

The ZS45 also features Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.

– Lumix SZ10

Sporting 12x optical zoom and a 24 mm ultra-wide angle lens, Panasonic states the Lumix SZ10 has been  designed “with socialising in mind”.

The SZ10 incorporates a 2.7″ 460k-dot LCD display that tilts up by 180-degrees, designed to make it easy to take self-portraits, and additionally offers a number of beauty effect functions, including Soft Skin, Defocusing and Slimming modes.

iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, meanwhile, lets users leave control to the camera, encompassing functions including an Optical Image Stabiliser, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Exposure and Face Detection.

The SZ10 additionally features Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to connect the camera directly to other devices, with smartphones and tablets also able to be used as a remote viewfinder.

– Lumix TS6 and TS30

The Lumix TS6 and TS30 are Panasonic’s latest additions to its waterproof, freeze-proof, shockproof and dust-proof tough camera range, designed for outdoor use.

The TS6 is equipped with a 16.1 MP high-sensitivity MOS sensor, a 28 mm wide-angle 4.6x optical zoom Leica lens (35 mm equivalent: 28-128 mm), sports a 3″ LCD display, and features 1920 x 1080 60p full-HD video recording, along with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, allowing users to connect their smartphone or tablet.

It is waterproof to 43 ft, dust-proof, shockproof to 6.6 ft, freeze-proof to -10 degrees Celsius, and pressure resistant to 220 lbf, and comes equipped with a built-in GPS, along with a compass, altimeter and barometer.

Th 16.1 MP TS30, meanwhile, is equipped with a 25 mm ultra-wide angle Lumix DC Vario lens with 4x optical zoom, and comes with a variety of shooting functions, including Advanced Underwater, iA, Creative Panorama, Creative Control, Creative Retouch and Time Lapse Shot.

The TS30, which sports a 2.7″ LCD display, is waterproof to 26 ft, shock-proof to 5 ft, freeze-proof to -10 degrees Celsius and dust-proof.
