Starting today, the company will reveal a series of clues to Panasonic’s Twitter followers and Facebook members, so they can join the search for the two cunning fugitives who are featured escaping from prison in the Blu-ray TVC.

The ‘Blu-ray ‘Prison Break’ Challenge works like this: A series of clues will be released via Twitter (www.twitter.com/panasonicau) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/PanasonicAustralia)  every Monday and Thursday over four consecutive weeks, revealing hints to where the two fugitives are hiding online.

For a chance to win, users will need to decode the clues and seek out the website where they will find an image of the escapees. Participants click on the image and are taken to a page showing the ‘captured’ fugitives. They simply download and print this image, photograph themselves holding the image, and post it on Panasonic Australia’s Facebook wall within the nominated time limit as proof.

Each successful participant has a chance to win one of eight bi-weekly prizes of a fabulous Panasonic Blu-ray Recorder (DMR-BW850) valued at $1,979.00 RRP. Additionally, each image of the captured fugitives will provide entrants with a new clue, with the 8 clues ultimately forming a question to answer on Panasonic’s Facebook Page for entry into the Grand Prize draw.

The lucky winner of the Major Grand Prize will win a Panasonic Home Theatre package featuring a Panasonic Blu-ray Home Theatre System (SC-BT200) valued at RRP $1,099.00 and a Full High Definition Plasma TV (TH-P42G10A) valued at RRP $2,299.00.

Panasonic Australia’s Product Manager for Blu-ray and DVD, Sophie Barton said, “As part of Panasonic’s ongoing commitment to engaging with our customers through social media, we are thrilled to offer this fun Blu-ray fugitive capture challenge and a chance for our Twitter and Facebook community members to win some amazing prizes!”

The Challenge is open to all Panasonic’s Twitter and Facebook members. To join the challenge, go to www.twitter.com/panasonicau or www.facebook.com/panasonicaustralia

The Challenge runs from 6th October 2009 until 5th November 2009. Each bi-weekly prize will be drawn at the conclusion of each round, with the major prize drawn at the conclusion of the promotion.
