Photo Experts To Share Tips At PMA

PMA Australia announced that digital photography and photoshop experts will be available to help consumers understand what they can do with digital cameras.There will be three different special education zones on the show floor during the Digital Life Expo: The Picture Place Theatre, the Bring Your Photos to Life presentation area, and the Visual Light Education Zone. At each place a rolling series of free presentations will be delivered by top photo experts.

According to the company, the VisibleLight Education Zone visitors will be able to meet some of Australia’s best known and knowledgeable presenters as they demonstrate how to get the most out of your favourite digital imaging and editing software.

Presenting 36 back-to-back free “how-to” sessions will be luminaries such as Philip Andrews, Peter Eastway, Les Walkling, Mark Galer, David Harradine, Nick Rains and Darran Leal.  Members of the VisibleLight team will be joined by friends from Adobe including Brian Chau, Steve Nichols and Mike McHugh.

Topics include What is New in PS CS5; Pro Tips for Better Capture; Travel Photography Tips; Shooting for National Geographic  and much, much more.

At the Picture Place Theatre This ‘there will be a series of 30 minute covering everything  from photo applications for iPhones right through to how to safely archive, find and retrieve your photos.  

 

At the Bring Your Photos to Life Workshops, visitors will learn how to meter for available light, pose a model correctly and compose dynamic portraits in everyday situations.

The workshops include full studio lighting facilities and models and the sessions will be run every hour on the hour by well-known photo experts Shelton Muller and Glynn Lavender of Creative Photo Workshops.       

To enrol in the free sessions, visitors should bring their cameras and register at the “Bring Your Photos to Life” stand.  Participants will also be able to get a print made of one of their photographs of the session and enter it into a competition to win a grand prize drawn at the end of the Expo.  

The main show theme is “Bring Your Photos to Life” and free lecture programs will give helpful advice on new ways to present and print your images. The objective it to ensure that consumers discover how to better enjoy the many thousands of digital pictures they may shoot in a single year.
