Premium Hitachi Appliances To Go On Sale In Australia

A new range of Hitachi premium appliances is set to be launched in Australia. It includes a new designer series refrigerator range which is proving highly popular in Asia and Europe.

Already the top selling refrigerator brand in Japan and China, the Hitachi products are designed in Japan and manufactured in either Japan or Thailand.

Several retailers are believed to be vying to range the premium brand which will go on sale in November via selected retailers.

The new RC 6080 is a premium refrigerator that will come in three colours, mirror brown, mirror black and mirror silver, the device has three doors and large storage capacity.

Unique to the range is a compact but high pressure inverter compressor and duel fan cooling that delivers up to minus zero cooling to the door of a refrigerator even when open.

Another big feature is that users can get chilled water and constant ice without the need to connect the refrigerator to a water supply.<?xml:namespace prefix = “o” />

A tank supplied Ice and water dispenser is built into the refrigerator allowing a user to top up the water supply whether it be mineral or soda water via the on board filter. The tank hold 4 litres of water at any one time.

Made of high thermal conductive aluminium, the MINUS-ZERO panels deliver uniform radiation cooling inside the refrigerator at 0oC temperature.

As a result, moisture and nutritional value are retained in food.

Further energy-saving is achieved by high efficiency of MINUS-ZERO Cooling, using Hitachi’s new Parallel Aerodynamic Evaporator and recently developed compressor.

Another unique feature is a touch screen controller that is incorporated into the door of the new refrigerator and because Hitachi is using Gorilla like glass, users can change settings with a simple touch. The surface has also been tempered so that users can easily wipe down the glass coating.

The top of the range model will sell for $4,900.

Don Paton Business Development Manager at Tempo Australia the distributor for the new Hitachi appliance range said “This is a truly premium brand that has been designed by Japanese engineers. In markets like China, and Japan where all the big appliance brands are sold, Hitachi is the number one brand of choice because of the styling which is flush and minimalistic and because of the engineering and technology that is built into the range. Another big benefit is the colours, black mirror brown and silver”.

He added “Interior designers love the new range because they can be flush installed right up to a wall and there is no need to install plumbing simply to deliver water to the refrigerator. They also like the fact that the water filter is built in inside the refrigerator eliminating the need to pull the fridge out to change a filter”.

“The brand is well known in Australia and consumers know that Hitachi products are leading edge due to their innovative Japanese technology:” he added.
