Pros Take Care Of Apple iPhone 5 Security Issues

Apple hold the distinct record of losing prototype iPhones yearly. With the company claiming they’re ‘priceless’, Apple is looking for security professionals in hope of breaking its cursed tradition. The most recent time was this July after an Apple employee lost the phone at a San Francisco bar. Although they traced the phone to a local home, the person of interest claims he knew nothing about it, even after Apple goons offered him money for the phone, no questions asked.

Fed up with the new tradition, the company advertised two positions for managers of “new product security,” less than 24 hours after the debacle. According to the SMH, the new recruits will join a workforce of ex-FBI agents and other decorated professionals who have experience in intelligence and law enforcement.

Apple still haven’t confirmed if there is an iPhone 5 coming out and if its prototype went walk-about, despite police reports, ramping production levels and a myriad of registered patents referring to a ‘handheld computing device.’

For a company that uses self-generated hype and word of mouth to sell its products, you can imagine its concern when one of its prodigy prototypes fumbles through the fingers of an employee, running the risk of deflating its hard-generated speculation and mystery. Despite this, security professionals reckon such a mishap is merely the small tip of a large ice-berg.

“Corporate espionage, that’s big money. Billion-dollar money. The paranoia is justified,” said Jim Stickley, co-founder of corporate security consulting firm TraceSecurity “Whatever they’re trying to do, their competitors want to know. Everybody wants to know.”

No kidding. Apple’s latest iPhone is arguably the most anticipated product this year, churning out more web-rumours and conspiracies than area 51.

In true iPhone spirits, I’ll help those wheels spin a bit more by offering an update on the latest goss. So far, the rumours indicate it will be coming out on the 15th of October, but more talk says a tough time producing large enough numbers could result in it being postponed. Again.

Whatever the case is, these two new security recruits are gonna have their work cut out for them, protecting a secret product from the entire world’s prying eyes.
