The LG 47LE7500 is a slim LED Full HD TV that is able to deliver great images – just make sure to turn off your lights and watch from afar.

This LED backlit LCD TV is slim (29.8mm without the stand) and sports a black bezel with a hint of red (along the edge of the panel). The LE7500 comes with a lot of connectivity options, allowing users to hook up their Blu-ray player, gaming console/s, and even their PC.
The ports located at the back include two USB ports, two Component inputs, an AV input, four HDMI ports, RGB-in, and an Ethernet port. The LE7500 also comes with a component and AV gender cable that can be for additional devices (port found on the left side of the panel).
LG has opted not to use any hard buttons on the LE7500. Instead, the company placed a set of touch-sensitive keys up front that allows a user to turn the unit on/off, change input, access the menu, confirm selection (OK), adjust the volume, and change the channel. The remote has large keys and are well-labelled. It also lights up if needed, thanks to its ‘Light’ button located on the upper right most of the remote.
Users who opt to install the panel on the included stand must ensure that the stand body is firmly fastened to the base. One must also make sure that the stand rear cover is securely bolted to avoid the TV from falling.

We connected the LE7500 to various sources to test its image quality. To get a good image from the panel out of the box (and without resorting to advanced calibration), we recommend users to set the mode to cinema and lower the backlight.
Users should also make sure to turn off the lights and stay as far away from the television as possible as the screen is very reflective. In fact, there were a lot of times where we saw our reflection on the screen, particularly in dark scenes.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind on Blu-ray looked solid, with the LE7500 producing good black levels (especially in the last few scenes) as well as vibrant outdoor images. The unit was also able to handle motion well, thanks to its TruMotion 100Hz technology. The car chase scene on Transporter 3 was smooth and had very minimal and visible judder.
Another feature that this panel offers is NetCast. Pressing the NetCast button on the remote lets a user stream content from BigPond Movies, YouTube, Picasa, and Accuweather. The interface is well-made and is simple to navigate. If you are currently using BigPond at home, then the movie service is unmetered. This allows a user to watch and stream as much movies without having to worry about their monthly data allowance.
While the images produced by this LG panel were good, it is hard to recommend. The reflective screen just takes away the enjoyment of watching movies and TV shows. It is better for you to see this panel first hand before taking the plunge. The LG 47LE7500 is available now with an RRP of $2999.
