Sagem is to debut its first LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) HD television in Australia, the Axium HD-L27.
The 69cm widescreen is claimed to be “so much more than a TV”, and for good reason. It is geared up for the imminent changeover to digital, yet the Sagem doesn’t pose the problems that other LCDs face when displaying analogue channels. The analogue and digital tuner have an input tuner frequency from 45.5 – 862.25 MHz.
Screen resolution comes in at 1280×720 with a contrast ratio of 600:1. Brightness is 550cd/m2 which is considered a good standard for LCD displays but one of the outstanding features of this is the full digital channel. The digital channel is claimed to be most suitable for digital photo albums and they don’t lose a single pixel of definition. The digital card slot caters for Compact Flash type 1, Smart Media, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick pro and Multi Media Card.
Included is a wide range of connectivity including SCART, six video inputs and two PC inputs including one digital DVI with HDCP control. It includes three TV peripherals, AV4 and S video input amongst a range of others including DVI-D and analogue audio inputs. The sound system comprises two X12 watt integrated speakers, automatic sound volume control and four sound modes, including Virtual Dolby Surround sound. The Sagem Axium HD-L27 is stocked a wide variety of retailers nationwide.
