Samsung Delays Galaxy Note 4

Samsung has delayed the launch of its Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge phablets in Australia. The Note 4 was originally scheduled for release on October 29, with the Edge due to follow on November 5.

“Samsung Electronics Australia has revised the on sale date for the Galaxy Note 4 to Wednesday November 5 and the Galaxy Note Edge to Wednesday November 12,” the company said. No reason for the delay was given.

Pre-orders for the Note 4 have opened at Optus, Virgin and Vodafone.

Optus is planning to offer the Note 4 for an extra $10 on its $80 My Plan Plus montly service. The plan comes with unlimited national voice calls and texting.

Note 4 will be available from Virgin Mobile for $5 a month on its $80 monthly plan. Virgin’s offer includes unlimited national voice calls and texting, 6GB of data and $150 of credit for international calls and text.

Vodafone is offering the Note 4 for $10 a month on its $70 Red plan over 24 months – a total of $80 a month. It’s also offering those who sign up for either Note a free Samsung Level On headset, said to be worth $249.
