The pocket-size VPC-PD2BKhas 1080/30fps video recording, 10 MP still capture, 3x optical zoom in a compact form factor similar to the Cisco Flip which is struggling to grow share up against a new generation of Smartphones.
The embedded software in the new Sanyo offering which is tipped to go on sale in Australia shortly makes it easy to shoot and share images on services including Facebook, YouTube and Picasa.
Also included are two microphones on the sides of the camera to record stereo sound.
“The new PD2BK delivers amazing 10MP photos and 1080 archive quality video with 3x optical zoom,” stated Tom Van Voy, Sanyo North America digital solutions division VP and general manager. “Now users have both a convenient, ultra easy form factor and archive quality photos and videos that they will be proud to display on their HDTVs or share with friends and family from their computer.”
The VPC-PD2BK adds a High Speed Sequential Shooting Mode and a built-in USB connector.
