Sharp has launched its new 3D TV with Quattron four-pixel technology in Australia that is able to display 2D images at the same time 3D is in use.

According to the company, the 3D glasses can convert the 3D signal into 2D images, allowing viewers the option of watching the same content in 3D or 2D simultaneously.
This 60-inch AQUOS 3D LED LCD TV is 39.7mm thick and has a full flat glass that extends to meet the slim border. It incorporates Sharp’s 1080p X-Gen LCD panel, features an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio, AquoMotion 200Hz backlight scanning system for reducing crosstalk.
Additional features include Time shift function for temporary recording of a programme, a selection of connection options including HDMI x 4, AV-In x 1, Component x 1, PC-in as well as Optical Audio and headphone out terminals. Additionally, the LC60LE925X includes USB terminal and for media playback and LAN (RJ45) terminals.
Sharp’s Deputy Managing Director, Denis Kerr said, “We’re excited to combine Quattron with our very first 3DTV experience to deliver a superior 3D offering with the brightest image reproduction on the market. Quattron 3D enhances the 3D viewing experience by producing more vivid colours and depth to images.”
The Sharp LC60LE925X is available now for $5999.
