Sharp’s Deputy Managing Director, Denis Kerr said, “Quattron technology enables the display to reproduce colours that have been difficult to portray using conventional LCD displays. The addition of yellow pixels allows the reproduction of colours such as bright yellows, sparkling golds and Aqua blues.”

The company claims that the Quattron LCD TVs feature a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, 100Hz technology, and has ‘theatre-like sound’ that is produced by SRS TruSurroundHD and Bass Enhancer. In addition, the new TVs offer a reduction in energy consumption compared with conventional fluorescent-backlight LCD TVs with its UV2A Technology and LED backlighting.

All models boast a selection of connection options including four HDMI ports, an AV-In, a Component in, a PC In, as well as AV, Optical Audio and headphone out terminals. Additionally, the LE820X models include USB terminal for Media playback and LAN (RJ45) terminals.
