Smaller Chips To Be Made By Intel, Toshiba and Samsung

Intel, Samsung and Toshiba are set to work together to produce smaller computer chips by 2016.According to Reuters, the three companies are looking to develop technologies that can ‘halve semiconductor line widths to nearly 10 nanometres.’

Reuters also added that the Nikkei said Samsung, Toshiba and Intel plan to form a consortium and aims to bring 10 other companies that produce semiconductor materials.

Toshiba and Samsung will then use the technology to make smaller flash memory while Intel will use it to make smaller and faster processors, said the report.
