This is a 2007 reinvention of the old boombox – a compact stereo by Sony, which is designed to play tunes from your PC wirelessly.
The device will stream music anywhere in the house via your existing wireless network or a P2P wireless connection with the included USB wireless network adapter. It is compatible with a range of music formats including MP3, WMA and AAC.
It also works with more than just Sony VAIO PCs, and can be managed by using various music applications including iTunes and Windows Media Player. It will play your tunes via the stereo speakers for up to four hours (which is the claimed battery life).

The device can also store a bit of music with 128MB of RAM onboard, it can also stream Internet radio and has a line-in stereo input to connect a portable audio device.
Other connections include an analogue audio out port and an S/PDIF digital out port to connect to your home stereo system as well as a headphone jack. There is a built-in alarm clock as well and the unit comes with a remote.
