Sony Ericsson Claims First For Radio Phone

Sony Ericsson has released the Sony Ericsson R306 radio phone, with what it claims is the first combined AM/FM radio experience at the heart of the unit.

The R306 unit features include AM/FM frequencies, dedicated radio speakers and preset channel buttons, and 3D sound enhancement and volume boost for noisy environments.

When placed horizontally on a table, the R306 not only looks like a radio – it sounds the part, too. Users can pump up the volume and play it loud through the stereo speakers.

Users can access their favourite AM or FM stations instantly via the preset keys. There is also set channel info on the sub-display, and it can be used as a radio alarm for those early starts.

There is a 1.3-megapixel camera, ready to catch the moment, and finally, a video recording capability.
